TAIPEI, January 7, 2010 - Zenitron Corporation (TSE: 3028) posted non-audited consolidate revenue for December 2009 of NT$2.65 billion, reaching record high. Additionally, regional sales revenues of Taiwan and China hit single month record high respectively. Currently China sales accounted for 32% of Zenitron revenue.
December revenue was up 16% from NT$2.28 billion of November, and up 107% from NT$1.28 billion from a year earlier. Sales revenue of the fourth quarter was NT$7.21 billion, up 19% from NT$6.07 billion of the third quarter, and up 68% from NT$4.3 billion a year earlier. The full year 2009 consolidated revenue was NT$22.68 billion, a 13% growth year-over-year.
Zenitron indicated that strong market demands from NB, mobile phone, DSC and consumer electronics products, plus emerging China market resulted in continued growth of December and the fourth quarter last year. The demands drove growing shipments of power components, small-medium sized TFT LCD panels, capacitive touch sensor IC, and NAND flash products. Zenitron has positive outlook of the first quarter, traditionally a slow season, as customers have prepared stocks aggressively for the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year holidays in February.
