CapSense combines capacitive touch technology with the highly integrated, flexible and easy-to-design Cypress PSoC lineup. Its extensive applications span IT, consumer electronics, home appliance and industrial control categories. CapSense can be used to develop touch-based button, slider and touchpad interfaces, which are more intuitive and enable aesthetic and innovative product designs.

In addition, CapSense can be combined with ITO conductive glass to create transparent capacitive multi-touch panel modules for a more integrated product design. Multi-touch (two touch points) technology enables rotating, clicking and zooming among other controls, which cannot be achieved with traditional resistor single-touch designs. Applications for CapSense-based ITO solutions include such handheld devices as digital cameras, mobile phones and GPS units.
